O'Dea | 99 boys in its 38th graduating class.

held this Sunday
for O'Dea seniors

inety-nine seniors from O'Dea ligh School will enter in a procession at St. James
Cathedral to attend their baccalaureate Mass at 10:30 a.m. this Snday.
This group comprises the 38th graduating class of the archdiocesan school for
boys,-conducted by the Christian Brothers of Ireland.
Noted among the seniors will be the valedictorian, Paul Leon Chelminiak, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Clement J. Chelminiak, 4121 54th Ave. S.W.; and the salutatorian, Raymond
John Liedtke, son of Air. and Mrs. Ernest R. Liedtke, 4542 S..Lucile St., all of Seattle.
Paul plans to major in architectural engineering at the University of Notre Dame.
Baccalaureate breakfast will follow the Mass at nvon in the Washington Athletic
Club.
Speaker will be Father Desmond Dillon, director of Catholic Charities "for the
Diocese of Yakima. Father Dillon, a former Seattleite, is an O'I)ea graduate.
The seniors will be among others receiving diplomas at the combined commence-
ment ceermony Sunday, June 2, in the Seattle Center Arena. O'Dea willalso send up
to the rostrum among its 99 graduates one set of twins, Michael arid Anthony Dedrick.
Brother F. M. Popish is principal of ODea, located across the street from the
Cathedral on First Hill.
