b--THE-.PROGRESS ,Ericlpy, May 24, 1.963 Fifty-three girls comprise Holy Angel's 55th graduating class. 'ogress editor will speak at Holy Angels' ],accalaureate HE 55th graduating class of Holy Angels High School will be among the seniors re- ceiving diplomas at the combined commencement ceremonies Sunday June 2, in the Seattle Center Arena. Representing the parochial girls school in Ballard will be53 seniors. Their valedictorian will be Colleen Marietta Duffy, daughter of Mrs. Ida Duffy, 5609 2nd Ave. N. She received the President's Scholarship to Seattle University. Salutatorian will be Patricia Jean Carel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Carel, 17321 Evanston Ave. Three principal events lead up to the combined commencement. They are the school's baccalaureate ceremony at 8 9.m. this Sunday in St. Alphonsus Church and the senior l;reast and class day exercises Wednesday. Father James H. Gandrau, editor of The Progress, will be baccalaureate speaker. Included among the seniors who will graduate are twins, Carol and Karen LaFreniere, and Susan Picht, who has complied a perfect four-year attendanc record with no absences or tardinesses. Janet Sullivan received a $300 scholarship to St. Elizabeth's School of Nursing in Yakima from the Auxiliary of the Ballard General Hospital. Holy Angels is conducted by the Dominican Sisters of the Congregation of the Holy Cross from Edmonds. Sister M. Rose de Lima, OP, is principal. Graduating will be: Xatherine Aldridffe.
